AS 1684.4 2010 Table 3.4
Hi everyone. Just have a question on AS 1684.4 (2010) table 3.4: BEARER SPANS FOR FOOTING TYPES 1 TO 5.
So my question is when you have found out your bearer size and span and you go to input it into Table 3.4, it then asks for "Rafter or Truss span, mm".
Now as far as i understand Rafter span means the span of the rafter and truss span means the span of the bottom chord from wall to wall.
So which dimension do you input into the table? The rafter span (half the wall to wall span) or the truss span ( wall to wall, width of the building)?
Your information on this matter will be greatly appreciated as i will be going for my DBU soon and i need to know this.
Thanks guys.
