2012 Carpentry Pricing Guide- thoughts?
Hi all, has anyone seen the 2012 Carpentry Pricing Guide? Cost of Carpentry Costs
Do those prices look about right? Looks like $50/hr is the average hourly rate.

There is a large element of logic and truth in your rates
I had an occasion to quote an extension 2 years ago, the owner said all prices too dear so he started it himself.
Well he rang me for a quote to finish it, I took 1 look at it and said no self respecting tradie would touch it with a barge pole, he is still trying to finish it and I think the marriage went pear shaped in the process. Sad really, it has turned out to be the most expensive job he ever didThe person who never made a mistake never made anything
Cheers

That's too bad for him! Good to see you agree with the pricing guide though, our family woodworking business charges pretty much the exact prices featured in the guide so I feel pretty good about it. We're not bothered with going incognito to scope out the prices charged by our competition!

Not sure about 2000/2001 rates, sorry ): www.ServiceSeeking.com.au wasn't around back then...but from memory our family business was charging about $40/hr, maybe a bit less?
