Default 3/4" pipe for pipe clamps in Perth

Been trying to get these for a few months now but Timbecon and Carbatec are always out of stock. Checked Bunnings and a place called Hose-Mania this morning because they had it listed on their site but no luck yet. Anyone else in Perth know where I could find some? I need to do 12 clamps so need about 25 metres, could even get a pipe threader and thread them myself if the price is right for the pipe.

Try a plumbing supplies shop, take one with you to check thread.
Will poss have threaded ends but will require cutting and threading long lengths.
If you are in a hurry.
    Good luck

I bought the pipe for my compressed air line and also clamps from
Valve and fitting Australia when they were in O'Connor , last time ws about 3 years .

    They are now at
    62 Discovery Drive Bibra Lake WA 6163 Ph. 08 9418 3566
Valve & Fitting | Product Range

It was a weird arrangement as they normally deal only with mini company type accounts but you called the office and they put you onto a bloke out the back and you told them how much you wanted and also told you when to come.
It was cash sale only no receipts.
$50 for a 6m length of 3/4" (20 mm) galv pipe, I bought from them several times - it's good pipe.
DOn't know if it still applies.

PM me about borrowing my dies.

    Cheers
    Bob

Thanks everyone! Remembered Di Candilo aren't far from me, gave them a call and the prices were very reasonable. Got 8 x 1500mm lengths and 6 x 2000mm lengths cut for $189. Picking up tomorrow. Will need to take care of the threading myself but better than waiting around forever and I can do them in my spare time. I actually think I have a 3/4 BSP die floating around in the shed somewhere, I'm almost certain I found one in a bulk lot of tools I bought a couple of years back. Otherwise I'll be in touch @BobL - can you remember if it's a BSP or BSPT die?

That is a good price. I will need to find mine as well. Mines a square die and the die holder has about 400 mm long arms which really helps when cutting these threads. You get a really chest and warm workout while doing it.

Just went out to the shop amid SWMBO's icy stare.
Measured the pipe on my ¾ pipe clamps. I used the metric scale on a Vernier Caliper and it read exactly 27 MM. These pipes are the black pipes used mainly used for natural gas. (Heating and cooking).
Then I looked on the web for metric / imperial conversion. What can I say? It looks like pipes were designed by committee. Nothing makes sense.
Even when I measured the ID of the ¾ pipe and it showed 1/16 greater than ¾.

BTW - Avoid using galvanized pipe. The galvanizing process tends to make the pipe clamp slip. Put a bit of masking tape around the pipe where the glue joint will be. The glue tends to make black marks on the wood when it comes into contact with the glue.
