    Default 3 way join help?

    i am making a tv cabinet/table and have a fairly contempary design that requires a visible yet appealing frame. i am unsure how to join three lenths of 40x40 lenghts of timber at one corner. ( see attached image)Attachment 184805

    yes that looks really neat and tidy how ever my mitre saw isnt all to acurate and often cuts slight curves when cutting angles and so the edges dont always line up. how ever i can fix the inaccurate cuts with some gentle sanding( the inaccuracy is only obvious when joined with another peice of wood so some sanding will easily hide the poor cuts. how is that joined? is their dowls that you cant see or is the some other method?

    alternatively,
