    Default 3” Spiral Upcut

    Hi WWF,

I am in need of a 1/4” spiral upcut router bit that is at least 3” long. Not fussed about the shank size.

I currently have a 2 1/2” one and that seems to be the longest available.

Any tips on where I could source one?

    Cheers
    Damien

    Yep.

    Two places, both excellent.

@Aldav on the forum sells them on eBay. Also on AliExpress: 1pc 3.175mm SHK Wood cutter and 1pc 3.175mm SHK Wood cutter

The HUHAO are my favourite. I've lots of those. If you cant find what you need, pop them an email. They are very helpful.

I've used both extensively and they are excellent.

I would say however, that's a mighty long bit. They break easily.

edit- the 2LX6 72 might fit the bill, it is 3 inches of spiral cutting - HUHAO 1pc 6mm 2 Flutes Spiral with blade CEL 12 72mm

I don't have any 1/4" bits left and they were only 65mm long when I did. It's not going to be easy to find what you want. Solid carbide spiral bits are mainly aimed at the CNC market so metric sizes dominate the offerings. Anything that I wanted for the home shop router market that was out of spec. for the segment I had to get made. If a 6mm bit will do the job you can proceed as woodPixel has suggested and buy a 1/2" to 6mm collet adaptor bush.

Thought I might order some of the other router bits just to test them out however I must be having a blond moment as I cant see you translate the code in the table to an order number? Is there a guide that I need?
