    Default 7.30 Report Tonight

There was a great segment on Maton Guitars tonight on 7.30 report in Melbourne (not sure if it is national?). Had a brief history and some footage of the works, some of the luthiers in action and some great playing. did anyone see it? I would love to make a nice guitar one day. I would put that in the 20yrs plus timeframe, though

Caught the tail end of it. Great Australian business. I built a solid body guitar years ago and one of the guys at Maton was very helpful, rang him a few times with questions and he was happy to answer them. Wish I could remember his name. Probably not there any more though...

Yep Tommy C - a beaut article especially cos it used Aussie timbers as opposed to the more traditional sound woods. I am not a muso and I was very pleasantly surprised to see the worldwide acceptance of the Mayton instruments. Good Ol' Aunty
