What accuracy do I require with this dial indicator?
Ok guys, my dial indicators have arrived from amazon and at $15 each they look to be of great quality and have a lifetime warranty.
The only thing is they use Imperial Measurements and not Metric but I knew this before buying them.
What is an acceptable tolerance from the front to the back of a 12" blade and say the tolerance over the distance of the fence?
Also I have a digital caliper and if I do a test rip cut say and the piece is approx 50cm long, what tolerances are acceptable in woodworking with the width of the rip etc?
Cheers guys
