Will be out of town most of July, so I'll pass in your kind offer, but will be back in time to see you all there.
Cheers

Hi to those who took up on the offer.
I have sent the money in & there seems to be a holdup at the other end.
The person I was dealing with is on leave & I recieved an email from somebody else today asking if they can be of assistance.
I have replyed, (4th email in 3 days) & hopfully I should know more tomorrow.
While the time frame is starting to make this a little exciting, I don't think we need to hit the panic button just yet.
I will PM each of you when I recieve the tickets.

All pretty cool. What I want to know though is if we are going to get together for drinks and dinner like we did last year?

Well..
Ah'm starting to get all excited about it now...
Bit like 50-odd yrs ago when the Sunday School outing was coming up...
And we got to go on a TRIP-BUS to some far off destination...
And wear or GOOD clothes...
And our Ma's made sure we were wearing decent underpants, and socks with no holes in them (in case anything happened to us... )
LOL - well the missus says, when we get t'Adelaide, I have to buy a new jacket before we go the show cos the one I've got is only half decent...
See - times don't change..
I'm excited...
And she wants to make sure I'm decently dressed...
cheers

I just remembered I haven't yet paid for this. Apologies, will try to rectify shortly.
What about a UBWWF meeting at the Ubeaut stand at say 12.00 each day for whoever's there? Those are my principles, and if you don't like them . . . well, I have others.

More on show tickets.
Apparantly, my form was lost in the (E@) mail.
I have sent another off this morning & spoken to the girl at the other end. I should have the tickets in a couple of days & I will send them straight out same day.
I must admit Jedo, I too am as excited as a dozen Big Kev's. I had saved all year to buy a 14" Bandsaw at lastyears show & then while at the show, I decided to save for another year & buy a bigger one. I am getting my new 2hp 17" Bansaw at this year show.
12pm at the UB stand every day sounds like a good idea. I think I will be going on Saturday. I Met Harry, Ian (Who I had met once before) & my namesake, Tiki at last years show. It is good to put faces to names of the people we help & seek help & ideas from through the forum.
Hope to see a few of you there.

hot diggity only 15 sleeps to go. SWL(oves)TBO has even ordered a forum cap "so I'll fit in" she says. The real reason is the bandsaw I want a 17"she thinks a 14" will do the jarrah posts @120 x 120 mm I dont think so. Come on agree with me guys I need your support.
Jedo the missus got you wearing a tie?
Ticky what brand bandsaw you looking at. Iam leaning towards the Leda but $$$ off could be swayed.I would love to grow my own food, but I can not find bacon seeds

Hey tonto,
The Leda is hard to look past.
I am going with an open mind, but the Leda is Very High on the list.
14" or 17" Hmm? I looked at 14" bandsaws last year, & the Leda was the most expensive. In my opinion, it was a far better 14" than the others there, but for the money, I felt that the few extra $ toward th 17" was much better value.
Just remember, you can do small job with small saws & big saws, but for the big jobs, you need the big saw.

If you have the $$ go the 17.
I have the 14" and it is ok and although I havent used it a lot I can see where it would be limited. Particularly with ripping large timbers.
I'll probably be at the show on sun and a 12.00 meet sounds "BEAUT"Don't force it, use a bigger hammer.
Timber is what you use. Wood is what you burn.

Be there
Hi Ticky,
Thought I'd be away for the show so didn't take up your kind offer. Can now make it Looking forward to meeting some of you at 12 probably on Sat. Pity I've already blown the tool budget for awhile, SWMBO recons the shed needs far more output before there is anymore input.
