    Default Adhesive Removal

    G'day guys,
Can anyone tell how do I remove a film of adhesive on my cricket bat?
I have peeled the clear cover away but not sure how to get rid of the sticky residue.
I gave Metho a quick go over part of it to no avail. I'm getting desperate !! Do I get a stanley blade and scrap it ?

I would try one of those citrus oil "goo" removers.
Alternatively, ring the bat manufacturer and ask them
    Cheers

Acetone will remove it. It is available from hardware stores.

Yup, eucalyptus oil, cheap, you'll find it in the medical section at the supermarket.

Possibly a little late but Shellite really works well and does not appear to damage any surface I have used it on.

Wrap a cloth around the item or on a label, soak the cloth, leave for a minute and wipe off the glue residue.
