Default Advice needed for Jarrah posts

Hello, not sure if this is the right forum for my problem. My problem is the back veranda pagola.25 yrs the jarrah posts were put in the ground and brick paved around surrounds. What I have found now is the below ground wood is very spongy and soggy. My questions would be. To dig down and let the warm air dry the wood? dig down and put instant cement in? or to cut the post to above ground level and put in a metal holder in cement?
If anybody can give me some ideas.
    Regards,

Spongy wood is not good. conctete will only hold moisture and rot in so will do nothing. I had a similar problem and solved it by jacking up to hold the structure then cutting the bad bit off.
With me the rot was in a stirrup so slightly different. With you my solution would be dig the post out, hopefully they didnt use much concrete because you got to smash that out and replace it.
Do not use rapidset but use standard concrete. Attach your stirrup to the post and let the stem dangle then pour you concrete. I would leave the jack for a week to let the concrete set.
