Afternoon delight
Picked up the grand children from school this afternoon for an overnight stay, within a few minuets of arriving they were asking if I needed this piece of timber or do you need this piece poppy for the next hour and a half we were gluing and cutting and gluing and nailing more pieces on to the monster truck the desk and chair and the house that were quickly put together we are having a break now while the glue dry's, a very busy afternoon. I still have a smile on my face.
Regards Rod.

Lovely shots Rod. In this age of computers and push buttons, kids love the tactile stuff of actually touching the things they make

Yep, it's great when the kids or grandkids actually want to spend shed time with you, and especially when they have their own projects that they want you to help them with. Granddaughter (now 7) wanted her own tool kit the Christmas before last, and last Christmas made a set of coasters for her parents and a letter rack for her aunt & uncle.
No one can tell me that these manual skills will be wasted, no matter what the kids grow up to do.

Great story there rod and yes it's great when the kids come down and want to play. My 8 year old wants to learn to turn with me so I'm trying to get him to learn to sand on the lathe for me. Had to knock up a stand for him but he's having a go.
Dave,
hug the tree before you start the chainsaw.
