My carbatec filter definetly has a timer. At the end of the woodworking session, set it on timer, set the DirtDog on the floor, and leave.

Gday Nathan, it certainly does have a timer, not sure what the maximum time is but the unit is still working a treat.

Maybe I should have got the C/tec model. I grabbed a H&F 1044CFM unit, but it has not long come back from repairs on blowing its second motor in the last year.

Credit to H&F they replaced everything each time, as they should. Like cars sometimes, maybe I got the lemon.

    The H&F unit also has a 1, 2 and 4 hour timer.
I make things, I just take a long time.

Thanks for the replies about the timer. This seem to be a decent unit, although they don't appear to filter as fine as the MicroClene models.

    Nathan.
