Antique Printers Furniture Cabinet.
I collected some Type and Furniture for old letterpress printing.
Unfortunately for me the cabinet that held all the lead strips of spacing all cut to precise lengths fell straight though the case as it collapsed. It took over an hour to pick it all up and stack it in a tray. I´m not looking forward to measuring each piece and sorting it.
First I need to solve this!
It had been sitting on the ground and rotted out at the base. I like the old and original it could be anywhere from 1800s to early 1900s. I´m not sure what wood it is made for its light like cedar or Huon pine.
The backing is tongue and groove but the panels aren’t parallel.
I´m missing 3-4 pieces.
Wondering if it be possible to just cut tout most of the rotted base and add new triangular pieces to the bottom of the sides, new base and a few back pieces. Or is it better to just start from scratch?
Also interesting is one side is cut to match the slope of the shelves and none of the rest is.

holey moley Jack, you dont like simple jobs eh?
If you finish that I'll buy a slab for you. Me personally, recycle into firewood and sinkers, never have too many sinkers.I would love to grow my own food, but I can not find bacon seeds

If that lead rack was used in the orientation it is shown then no wonder it has fallen apart. The leads should be in a vertical orientation so the dividers do just that and not support the weight of the leads. By the way the numbers are shown that was not the case.
