Aquarium Desings?
Hi, I am trying to find designs to build an aquarium stand that will hold a 180 gallon tank (72L 24W 24H). This stand needs to be able to hold 1500lbs roughly. I have tried searching online but did not find anything useful. Therefore, I am here pleading for someone to set me in the right direction. When i'm done with this project I will post pictures and what i did in detail. Thank you

I went through this exercise some years ago, albiet for a smaller tank, my solution to the lack of readily available plans, etc., was to pay more visits than usual to local aquarium supply stores and spend time seeing how the "commercially made" stands were manufactured. After stealing enough ideas, I came up with my own plans and voila.
BTW, welcome to the site and while it appears you have converted a lot of the specs to metric (which may be appreciated by some), I'd venture to say that a lot of the folk around here grew up pre metric............I know that I work in both mtrs, cms, kg and gms, etc., AND ft, ins, lbs and ozs., depending on what phase of the moon we are in at the time

Build a steel frame and "clad" it in wood panels or whatever.

Some ideas.
4x2 s are plenty strong enough to hold the weight, if in doubt, use a few more.
What you have to do is brace them well enough to prevent the whole structure racking and folding up like a house of cards. Heavy plywood screwed to the 4x2 frame will provide bracing and increase the overall strength.
The top has to be perfectly level to prevent the tank from cracking.
Once you have your framework built clad it in whatever decorative trim you want.
Cheers
