    Default A great Australian project

Here is a great mini project that I still intend to do more on for aesthetics (racing stripe inlays etc) but I thought in concept was important to share.

Make yourself a box with an open top and dividers that effectively makes approx 75mm x 75mm chutes, with an opening on the front approx 110mm high at front face.

You have made yourself a stubby holder container and dispenser to hang near your beer fridge or BBQ. The action of dropping them back in is pleasing.

An update is I finished this off.

For the base, I could not glue a piece to the base as the grain would have run at right angles to sides and would have led to splitting.

I also thought it was plain boring and needed some sort of adornment.

I decided to make some little racing stripes, and dovetail them into a base and glue the stripes to the side to affix everything together (the base is not glued, just the racing strips at the side).

A small thing but I found it quite pleasing

    Well done!

Now we're just waiting for the barby invite...
