Availability of Pocket hole screw bits??
Somebody has told me that they have a Pocket Hole screw Jig package - but have broken the bit ( drill) . Are these available independently? - I can see that Carba-Tec only seem to advertise the complete packages.

G'day Barry, try a google for "kreg" . I reckon you should be able to get them seperately, maybe even email carba-tec and see what they say. I would think any drill bit would be considerd "Consumable" , I know I consume a few!
Hope this helps, Cheers StevenThe hurrier I go, the behinder I get.

Carba-Tec do sell the bits separately here in Perth. I purchased one about a year ago. Costs about $6.

Kreg now offer a quick change adaptor, and quick change shanked drills and square drivers, in addition to the traditional ones.

I bought a second spare bit in the discount bin at Carbatec a while back but am certain I have seen them in the bigger Bunnings store since then.

And I am pretty sure I have seen them in Carba-Tec too.

Oi, before this goes too far (you spotted my error), I initially thought Barry was referring to the driver bit (my stupid mistake). The actual drilling bit (Kreg brand) is in fact $23 at Carba-Tec as Fireguard pointed out.
My recommendation is that a proper Kreg bit is purchased. I have used mine many, many times and it is still as sharp as ever.
