Default Any good or bad dealings with Advanced Woodmachine Technologies

I'm weighing up one of Advanced Woodmachine Technologies' machines, but I only found one positive post and one negative post relating to them when I searched the forum archives. I hadn't even heard of them until last week.

Would anyone care to report their dealings with AWT, good or bad? What's the general consensus on their brand (Hy-Tech) of machinery? I presume it's either Chinese or Taiwanese like most other brands these days (and probably comes out of the same factory as other known brands), but there are very differing qualities across the retailers. On the face of it, they have exactly what I want, but I'd really like some reassurance before stumbling blindly in there with cash.

I know you believe you understand what you think I wrote, but I'm not sure you realize that what you just read is not what I meant.

    Regards, Woodwould.

I've been out there several times. They don't keep much stock. It would seem that their target market is the low-end cabinet maker (read cheap kitchens) as they mainly have low-end panel saws.

I had a good look at the HY-tech combo planer-thicknesser for a friend. Not that well made and a real PITA to switch modes as the entire fence (including support) must be removed.

However, their 12" wide planer was rather nice.
