Ball and socket joint?
I've done abit of woodwork, and i was thinking for my next project i might replace the plastic on my headphones with timber! (as the plastic has broken). Ideally i would be able to remove the plastic ball and socket joint and replace it with a metal version, which then would be easy to attach the timber, but the trouble is removing the ball from the socket... the only ways i can think of is either just popping it out/ somehow drilling the bulk out or even heating up the plastic near melting point then pulling it out, but i wanted to see if you guys had any ideas i dont wont to ruin them if can be helped.... Thanks in advance!
