Default Bandsaw assistance (Sydney North Shore)

I was trying to resaw some of Studley's structural hardwood by hand last weekend (as disclosed in my blog). That is a mistake.

Is there a Forum member near the Sydney North Shore who might be able to assist by resawing 4 planks of 200mm wide hardwood? The planks are about 2 m long.
    Cheers

The last time I was in Sydney (2 years ago) there was a professional business just north of Hornsby (that forum members visited and used) that hired out the use of its workshop and had a large inventory of woodworking machinery.
I dont know if the business changed hands but Alexs and Zed and others were there on one occassion when I visited.
Also Wongo took me to a similar setup somewhere near the M4.

So I'm still waiting for offers.

HHhhmmmm- half an offer - have you ripped all the timber part way thru from both sides? I have a Jet 14" bandsaw with a riser, so it can theoretically cut thru timber up to 300mm deep, but its only 1/2 to 3/4 h.p. and I only have one resaw blade, so it would not be up to cutting 8 metres of hardwood if its going thru a full 200mm, but 70mm should be do-able, followed by a trip thru the planer, but you are going to end up with timber that is only around 13mm or half an inch in the old money.

I'm in Chatswood, a couple of blocks & a river from Wongo.

Just like to record my thanks to Bruce for resawing the three planks that remained this morning. It was great to meet you and to make this progress (without the calouses of handsaw). You're welcome to come over and use the Hammer, if I can convince SWMBO that the treasury can afford the expenditure.
    Cheers
