    Default Bandsaw/resawing needed on the Mornington Peninsula

    Hi folks,

    I have a piece that I need to get resawn and my tablesaw just won't cut it (pun intended!) It's 2.4m of 125mm VicAsh. I need a 10mm strip taken off this.

    Anyone in the area able to help me out with this?

    Does Moorooduc Timber have a 2.4 mtr panel saw? If they do, they just may be able to help you out on this if the timber is clamped appropriately.

    Thanks for the idea Cava. I hadn't actually considered to ask them but will give them a call in the morning to see. Not holding my breath though, they're usually pretty iffy even about thicknessing other people's timber last I checked a few years ago.

    Thanks for the ideas folks. I managed to get it done using my tablesaw, flipping the piece over to do the other side and then using a handsaw to take out the rest.
