Default Which battery for which drill

At my work place we have got two types of Makita 12v drills; a 6271D and several 6319D. We also have two types of batteries 12v 2Ah and 12v 1.3Ah. Which one is for which drill? We interchange the batteries. Should we be doing this? Also we re-charge the batteries in any recharger that is available. Is this okay?

We have had batteries that have died and need to order replacement ones. Could the interchanging of the batteries between the different models have caused the demise of the batteries?

    Grateful for any information.

'Interchanging' the batteries is fine and will not hasten their demise. Either charger will also be fine.
Those were the droids I was looking for.

as you can use the batteries with either Drill and they are both 12Volt , you will not have an issue, the 2AH Batteries will have a longer work life between charges and more available torque power , against the 1.2Ah batteries.

depends. I'm not familiar with Makita charges, the battery drills I mostly use come with "smart" and "dumb" chargers. Batteries charged with "smart" chargers last longer than those charged with the "dumb" ones. If the Makita chargers are "smart" ones switching this won't be an issue
