The Beauty of offcuts
Thought I'd put up a post before heading out to woodshow to do part man-the stall/part shopping. The wife loves the former part, not so much of the shopping part. But anyway finally took these tealight candle holders down off the curing rack and got em loaded. Woods used - from left to right - rock maple, New Guinea rose wood, jarrah, tassie black wood brush mahogany. I started with wipe on poly but it got a bit messy with the sharp corners so screwed in an eyelet and hung them up and aftersanding back I gave 2 coats of Cabothane clear gloss from a can, with a light sand i between with 320 then 4/0 steel wool.

Very nice. Good way to use offcuts and minimise waste. Plus make a little pocket money to buy more stuff. Win-win-win-win. Who could complain about so much winning.
