    Default Beeswax varnish/polish

    Hi,

I have built a picture frame from old fence pailings and wanted to use something like bees wax to varnish the timber to bring out the natural colours of the wood. I went to Bunnings and they had a variety of products and couldnt offer much assistance in the way of which one i should use.

Just wondering if anyone could recommend a particular brand or type of bees wax polish/varnish i could use and where i could get it from or even if there is an better alternative. Also i have started making kids toys from tree branches and bits and pieces i have found in the backyard. I would like to use something similar to varnish these toys so its brings out the colours of the wood.

Any advise would be much appreciated.
Im on the central coast of NSW in Australia.

    Cheers
    Fritz

Thanks for the response Michael. I have seen these products in Bunnings. Any idea which of the range would be best suited? the cream or the wax?
    Thanks
