Beginner question: How to best "join" this bench?
Hi,
To maximise space in my small workshop I want to make a 1100x1400mm centre bench that integrates my SawStop Jobsite saw and Triton router table.
I have a bunch of 90x45mm pine and some 26mm merbau project panels that I'm going to use.
So my main question is (based on my crappy drawing) on the best way to join the timber, how should a beginner do it, I want to learn also?
Also would you just use the 90x45mm as is, or cut it down a bit (I want as much side storage as possible)?
Bonus points if you can point me in the right direction to a simple way to turn my drawing into a useful "plan", that can help me build this thing, I'm going to use my hoist to suspend the table saw and so I guess I could just "wing" it?
I also have a mitre saw, 14" bandsaw and a 13" thicknesser, if it helps.
Thanks for looking.
Cheers
Richard

Mortise and tenon joints would be my suggestion. Not sure if that’s the answer to your question. If you a looking for a plan, may I suggest you tube for ideas. Paul caul or Paul sellers. I can’t think of any more Paul’s there are probably people with other names on YouTube that do bench build videos.
