    Default Bench Dogs from Bunnings

I was in Bunnings today and come across these plastic bench dogs, you get a packet of two for $4ish.

I havent tried them yet but they look ok.

The fineline is 5861990 (Bunnings stock no.) if you want to get some.

    Yep, them be the ones.

Mine look slightly different, but otherwise identical. They work very, very well and the price is right. A little fiddly on occasion, but that's not a concern.

LV also sell them, and thiers look identical to mine, red lever and all. Price is a tad more spendy though...

They are total crap. I bought a couple, tried them out, found that they flex as if they were made from cheap plastic ... oh wait, they are made from cheap plastic! Anyone wants them can have my two, free.

They are hold-downs, not bench dogs. Great for Workmates but I think they are too short for a full sized bench - and I'd have to fight the red-backs for access to the adjustment nut.
