    Post Bifocal safety glasses

Found these today, I need reading glasses and have looked for a long time locally to find bifocal safety glasses but to no avail, I someone knows where I can get them locally I would appreciate it.
At present I wear reading glasses under my safety glasses and it's not ve3ry comfortable. http://wizdist.com/shopspecs.cfm
Edit, just did a little digging and found that Gegory Machinery are the Wizard importer, just fired off an email and will wait to see what happens.

I bought a pair from Trembath Agencies here in Adelaide last week and they are extremely comfortable.

    Cool

I have clip-on safety lenses that fit to the exact shape my glasses.

Not as good as a big pair of safety goggles but just as good as the modern designer numbers that are on the market now. They are light weight comfortable and practical. Not only that but they are for my prescription glasses not a pair of magnifying lenses. Cost around $12 at chemists or optomitrists.

    Cheers - Neil

Sounds just what I kneed as I have a problem with the plastic safety glasses fogging up, especially if I'm wearing a a paper dust mask. Could you mention the brand name?

    thanks

Clip ons no good to me Neil, I wear half frames and my readers are +2 diopter right and left, hence the need for bifocal, more info Burf, what brand etc and of course the mighty $$$$.
I thought about full frames then I would always be takling them on and off.

Iain I also used half glasses and now I have these new ones I just put them on as soon as I walk into my garage and only take them off when I leave. No problems with fogging or interference with masks. The glasses are the ones advertised by Gregory Machinery and I've lost the receipt but they were 45 - 50 dollars from memory.

    Cool

Ian, I purchased these from Gregory Machinery in Brisbane. They mailed them to me and I received two days later here in Melbourne.

Total cost about $52.00 including postage.

I have been using them for two weeks and they work great and are very comfortable. Can get rid of the safety goggles/reading glasses combo which have always been a pain in the ass.

I have a set of safety glasses that are multifocal and they work a treat. Australian standard approved, with side shields and available from our local OPSM dealer.

While I don't yet need Bi Focals I have been getting my script made up on industrialy hardened glass stock for many years now.
Next time I'll get the new funky plastic safety lenses that are even suposed to resist welding spatter.
If you want the side protection you can get your script made up in safety frames.

Years ago all telecom apprentices were eye tested and issued with prescription safety glasses which they were required to wear.

    hope this is helpfull.
