    Default Something a bit different. Fossilised wood with opal voids.

    Found this earlier today.

    Very nice piece of - well, not really wood anymore.

    What a pretty - and unique - piece!

    One of the reasons I like lapidary is that, like woodwork, you often don't know what's 'inside' a piece until you get right down to it and look.

    This is amazing. Is it yours or you found it on the net? My uncle is a massive gemstone collector and I'm certain would want to add this to his collection if it is for sale.

    We have a mate who lives in Coober Pedy and he has a collection of interesting pieces - some like that. They aren't worth much but look great as they are colourful.
