Big Blanket Box
Hey Guys,
I thought i would post a pic of the 2nd bit of furniture i have made, first being some DVD racks.
It is a big blanket box around the length of a double bed. Made from Pine due to budget and stained in a Walnut colour.
Only just getting started in this woodworking thing and being a young bloke only have a few tools. Learned a few lessons for the Entertainment unit i am now making for the bedroom
Any Critiques are welcome.

Looks nice and solid. We all have to start somewhere. Your collection of tools will soon grow.

If he gets it without working for it; he's a parasite; and if he accumulates it after a life time of hard work, people call him a fool who never got anything out of life."

Nice job, especially for only your second project.
It's good you're making things, it helps to work out what tools and equipment you most need.
Hope you get the bug and stick with it, or have you already got it?The time we enjoy wasting is not wasted time.

Thanks,
Yea i had a fair idea of what i needed since i had watched dad making things a bit. He is a cabinet maker by trade. Saying that though he is 300km away so its not like i have an expert on call when needed.
Yea i have the bug already, lined up about 6 bits of furniture that need replacing. Computer desk, Entertainment Unit *2, Chest of Draws, book case etc. Haha.

Well done, looks greaat, I make lots of furniture pieces from Pine being about the most affordable solid timber but have thought about recycled timber for future stuff I may make.
Reality is no background music.
Cheers John
