    Default Blood blister

Yesterday I got some help from my daughter to move the Jeep Tub in the shed (I am doing a restoration). During this process I managed to jamb my index finger when I was setting the thing down. I think I must have pinched it. Anyway it hurt! When I inspected the "damage" I could see that the skin was not broken but had started to make a blood blister. My daughter remarked "Well you know what to do".....I had told her of this "trick" years ago. Rub the blistered area in your hair or cloth. You need to generate heat which will firstly take away the pain a n d take away the blister. Yes it does work. This morning there is not sign of the blister at all.

I learned this from an old Carpenter I was working with at the time.
    Just do it!

    Kind regards Rod

Will have to remember to try that one, when I get one under a toe or finger nail I drill a hole through the nail to let the blood out and stop the throbbing. Works a treat but not as good as not hitting it in the first place

About 10 years ago I dropped a 2m long x 50mm galv water pipe onto a big toe and it swelled up like balloon and a huge blood blister accumulated under the nail.
Ended up using a red hot needle which released the blood out and cauterised the hole at the same time. There was so much pain beforehand that the hot needle felt like little prick and rapidly relieved the pain.
