Thread: Books on making dining-room chairs

Hi Willy and welcome to the forum.

As a hobby furniture maker, do yourself a favour and get the book called:
Furniture & Cabinet Construction by Andy Rae

I believe it's available in Oz for around $90-100 but if you get it through amazon.com it works out much cheaper, even allowing for postage from the USA. (I think around $50). Check out the amazon.com site for details. It's a magnificent publication and has a section devoted to chair construction. The quality of tghe photos and details of all you is first class.
recently they had a deal if you bought the other book called Joinery by Gary Rogowski...that's excellent as well.
Both of the above are from Taunton Press. shipping was around 2 weeks.
