    The easiest way to place a link within a post is to open a new browser tab pointing to the website. This lets you know the url actually works ! Then cut the url from the address bar and paste into the post. I find it easiest to ensure there is a space or newline in place before I paste. Sometimes editing a url can corrupt it.
