Brass shim material
Not sure where to post this so if the Moddy wants to move that is OK
I have several lifetimes supply of brass shim (ie a few metres) of shim material 5 inches wide in
0.001,2,3,5,7, 12 (thou)
If this is any use to people I may cut it up and offer it at a low price in the Marketplace.
Is there a demand in this community? I dont want to cut it up without a reason

I would be interested, depending on sizes and price.

The strips I have are 5 inches wide and thicknesses are 1,2,3,5,7 and 12 thousandsth of an inch
what size would be a useful one 6x6 or 12x6 inches? I know that I tend to use fairly small pieces when I need it

I would doubt that the 12 thou would be thick enough for engraving, possibly embossing but that would be marginal I suspect
.001 inch is 0.0254 mm so 12 thou is 0.305mm
the others are in between

A rough, but pretty close conversion is 40 thou ( .040" ) = 1mm, so 4 thou = 0.1mm, and 12 thou would be close to 0.3mm.
