Thread: Brisbane- saw blade sharpening recommendations

See this thread - Sharpening Service in Brisbane A bit old, but still relevant.

I haven't used these folks yet, but I had a chat with them at last year's woodworking show, and they seemed good people to deal with: Combined Saw and Knife

My father was a builder & he used Brisbane Saw Service for many years.

Midnight Man - I ordered bandsaw blades from Combined Saw and Knife and they were easy to deal with, put the order in online and a few days later, 2 shiny new blades shipped to me. I can't remember what stock they use for their bi-metal blades but it's good stuff. Unfortunately they're about 1.5 hours drive from me so not convenient for sharpening.

I just tried Peacock saws and I am very impressed with the service and how remarkably sharp the blades are.

They alsi have a drop off and pickup service which is about $4

Thanks yachtie and Damienol. That's a pretty benign sum for pickup/delivery.

I use Southside Sharpening 0419 659 510, reliable and 2-3 day turn around.

An update - went with Brisbane Saw Service. Easy to deal with, called me a few days later when they were done, and as expected blades are sharp as. Can definitely recommend.

I use Combined Saw and Knife for all my circular blades. I'm happy.
