Thread: Brisbane Kitchen Cabinet Maker Helper

Hi fellow woodworkers,

I am after the help of a Brisbane based kitchen cabinet maker to help me out on a project. I am looking at renovating my kitchen which will include replacing all of the cabinets and bench tops. I am looking for the expert help of a cabinet maker who can help / teach me the art of building a high quality kitchen. This would probably suit a retired tradesman or someone who has built their own in the past. I have been woodworking for the last few years on smaller projects including Rockers rocking chair but nothing of the scale of a full kitchen. I am keen to learn and just need a bit of guidance really. I have served a trade as a fitter and turner in the past and have the hand skills required to do a fair amount of the work. I am aiming on using a combination of solid timber and laminate materials to create a unique classic look kitchen.

I am willing to pay for the time and any tools used. I have a reasonable workshop that includes a large bandsaw, tablesaw and thicknesser. I am planning on taking three weeks off of work to get the job completed as well as weekends before hand to get preliminary work done. As much as I would love to take my time in building this I just don't have it due to having a 7 month old baby at home and other commitments.
