Brissie Woodies - Bulk K-Body clamp buy
Attention Brisbane based woodies...
There may be an opportunity to buy some new Bessey K-body clamps (as used by Norm) for a reduced price coming up. I don't know what kinda prices we can expect but hopefully some reasonable margin below RRP. I am currently negotiating with a supplier to make this purchase, so I need to know who would be interested in going into a bulk buy... You can order as many or as few as you like, as long as we meet the minimum order put to us (still to come).
Once we have prices and confirmed order, I would collect money, pick up the bulk clamp order and you guys can either collect your clamps from me (or I might be able to deliver if on Brissie southside).
Just looking for a list of interested individuals at this stage. Your interest does not mean a firm order but I need a rough estimate of how many people we might have.
As a side note, Carbatec currently sells the K60 (600mm) K-body for $80.50 and the K100 (1000mm) K-Body for $115ish. They aren't cheap clamps, but boy, they are certainly worth every dollar
Let me know if you are keen, and start saving those $10 notes
I'll provide further information when I get it back from the supplier.
Sorry, we cannot post these outside of Brisbane. If you are interstate and are travelling to/through Brisbane to make the pickup, then you are welcome to joinHow much wood could the woodchuck chuck if the woodchuck could chuck wood?

Dean,
I'd be interested in one maybe two K60's (have to sneak it past the Minister of Finance - still paying back the Wood Show purchases)Wayne

Dean,
I did a search in Carbctec for "K60" and came up with nix.
What should I search for to have a look at.
Where will they have to be picked up from?
It might be a ride dawn to Brisvagas,
else the Father-in-Law
Thanks,
Count

Ok folks... some more info...
Ivan, here is the official page for the K-bodies - http://www.bessey.de/englisch/k.html
Pickup will be from Rochedale South (southside of Brissie).
I have a price from the dealer. We can get K60's for $66.00 each. This is a saving of over $14 per clamp (or roughly 20% off). The minimum order is only 5 clamps per model so I think we should be able to meet that quota.
I have also asked for a price on the K100 (1000mm) model and will let you know when that comes through.
You can get K-bodys over 2.5 metres long but I'd hate to even ask the price If anyone wanted to buy 5 of any other length, let me know and I can probably get you the discounted price on those.

Have you thought of emailing to Bessey direct to get a price?

Dean,
$66 for the K60 sounds alright. I'll be interested to see how much the K100's are though.Wayne
