So how did the Brisbane Love-in go girls?
Or are you all tucked up in bed, too tired to eat tea after the big day out?
Cheers,
P

Went off very well, Midge - wished you were there.
I forgot to bring my camera, but Wayne had one of those phone-camera gizmos, so when he gets around to logging in, you'll be treated to a shot of the rogues-at-large.
Hope he got my best profile.........
Cheers,IW

Clandestine Meeting In Coorparoo Exposed
Report by Wayne “Undercover” Davy
After months of undercover work, I have finally been able to infiltrate the notorious “Woodies” ring that has been terrorising Tool and Hardware stores all over southeast Queensland. This gang have been implicated in several high level exploits over the years such as the “Carbatec Flood Sale Raid”, the “Great GMC/Bunning Heist of 2004” as well as several International heists involving Veritas, Lie-Nielsen as well as eBay.
Your reporter became aware that several members of the notorious gang were planning to meet up at a little know coffee shop in Coorparoo on the 3rd July. My boss cleared me to set up surveillance so I arrived early and checked out another of their known haunts in Harries Road. A few of the persons at this location looked quite suspicious but I did not have any evidence on them so I decided to return to the suspected meeting place. This proved to be the best move I could have made as I instantly recognised one of the ringleaders, a character who went by the alias of “Soundman”. He was quite easy to spot due to the fact that he was perusing a dubious looking book, which, by the title, appeared to have something to do with ‘finishing’ (no doubt an underworld ‘how to’ manual).
Using my undercover handle, I approached the “Soundman” and we sized each other up. Luckily, my credentials passed the test, and it was not long before I engaged him in conversation. Very shortly after this several other gang members arrived. These shady characters, I was told, were named ‘IanW’, ‘Ian Runge’ and ‘Peardo’ (alias Rod).
With all the main suspects in attendance, the conversation soon degraded into a discussion of various torture devices know as “Hand Planes”. Not being completely up on these older implements of pain and suffering, I tried to follow along until the talks got around to the newer, noisier and diverse items that are now used. Having a rudimentary knowledge of such things from my research, I was able to fool the gang for a bit but I felt an uneasiness from some of the members due to them looking at their watches. A comment was made about “The Big Bosses” not liking it if they were seen in public for too long so it was not long after this that the meeting was ended. I made my escape but using one of my long lense surveillance camera, I managed to take one photo from extreme distance. Unfortunately, it is not the best evidence so I will continue to monitor the gang. No doubt they will be up to no good in the future (particularly on weekends I’m told ).

Nasty looking bunch of desperadoes there Wayne. Glad that you were able to escape and continue the good work.

Whaddya mean, Bob - as handsome a bunch as you're ever likely to see hanging round a tool store! (That slightly fuzzy camera of Wayne's does wonders for my wrinkles!)
Pity most of us were on a curfew - we'll have to do it again sometime, with a longer leave pass, so we can talk wood and tools into the small hours...

Sounds like you Banana Benders had almost as much fun as we did in Melbourne at Ozwinner's place. Good stuff.
