I'll say. We've had a fire burning tonight....those who know about wood fires will get some idea of how much fuel we need when I explain that we have 200 years of fuel stacked neatly in the boatshed.Yeah it is getting a bit cool now.
I spent a weekend a year ago, docking all the old 2x1 hardwood roof battens from our house re-roof into 350mm lengths so they'd fit neatly into the glass doored fire thingy that was in our house.
Tonight, because it's so friggin' cold, we will go through NINE pieces of 2x1 hardwood!!!....That's nearly three lineal metres!!!
(But she does love a good fire
)
Roll on summer I say!!

. Us Qld's are extremely lucky to have NSW just over the boarder as it keeps Vic's further away

If you like it cold moove to warwick, you'll get the best of both worlds.
cold at night often down to -5C & nice & warm in the day.
still in queensland and the land is cheap.

Now if you like it hot and quiet you could try bollon the last town in queensland to get automatic telephone.
or if you realy want to get away from it, like fishing and like it hot & wet try bamiga.
Went on a training course ( back in my telecom days) with "the bamiga tec" he had a dingy & an outbord on his tool issue.
bamiga is the most Northen real town on the mainland.
