Bubbles in My Veneer
Hello, I'm new around here.
I layed some veneer onto a plywood surface which I stuck down with contact cement. I didn't have a good way to roll it down tight so I just rubbed it hard and hoped for the best. Now the stuff is bubbling here and there. How do I get it to lay flat? Will an iron work? or do I inject glue in and clamp it? Or something?

Gidday
Firstly I'd dodge using contact cement n go down the path of a quality hide glue, plastic resin glue or epoxy.
The bubbles are probably going to be an ongoing problem so i'd seriously consider starting again and doing a bit of planning and research in regards to the kind of project your attempting to do.
A veneer hammer could be used to initially flatten your veneer then slap it in a sandwich of melamine and caulds if you could get access to a vacuum press that would make things even easier.
Theres heaps of great information on the Net in regards to veneering keep us posted on what solution you came up with!!!!
N if you can dodge using contact cement for your veneering!!!
