    hello everyone,
im new to the forum but have done a few simple projects before (poker table, small cabinets, etc). my question is what is the best way to build a low platform bed (see link attached)? im thinking maybe frame out the top level with 2 x 4's, top it with 8 x 4 sheets of birch plywood. trim out the four sides with strips of wood and of course finishing with a dark stain. im confused as to what material i should use for the lower level (legs) however. what can i use that will be strong enough to support the bed, mattress and myself? opinions much appreciated.

    thanks in advance.
