    Default building Electric guitar body - sydney

    Hi all

    hope i got the right section hhere. Im looking for a timber store in Sydney that anyone can recommmend that sell good wood. Im looking for some body blanks ..mahogany or alder etc.. to start building an electric guitar body .. its going to be a clear finish so i need some good quality wood with good grains ..

    anyy suggestion?

    You're best off asking this in the Musical Instruments Forum.

    Maybe a mod will move it for you.

    I think that the guitar makers gets their woods from interstate. Melbourne or Brisbane I believe.

    There could be somebody in Sydney though. The luthiers in the Instrument forum will know for sure.

    try here for luthier supplies in sydney. Here for premade bodies and blanks.

    Hi all

    thanks.. i was looking for a timber place not so much a reseller or premade bodies.. i did a few searches on this website and found Anagate at marrickville might be a good place to source wood for music instruments .. so i might go for a wander there ..
