Building outdoor table, crack help.
Hi, my first woodworking project, building 6 outdoor tables.
The 8x2's I'm using for the seats and tops have some cracks in the ends, and with all the crack posts I can't work out if I should go epoxy or or the casting resin or what.
I will be using a Feast and Watson decking oil to finish them, they will be in a pub beer garden.
Should I use some "Bar DK" on the feet as well?
I have no problem with the cracks not holes be filled with a black filler, I have some black oxide sitting here if that would do.
Any advice would be appreciated, I like to do the job as well as I can, no doubt I will be judged on my effort here.
Cheers
Chris

Everyone is different, however I would cut the ends off.

I would go for some additional strength and put dowels in through the edge/s.

those cracks look like they want to run from end to end of your timber
I'd hold them with butterfly keys an then fill them in with tinted epoxyregards from Alberta, Canada
