I have to agree with the recommendation. I just used it recently to hold the drawer faces on my new router table cabinet until I fitted them up.
The tape is super thin as well!

Regrettably, it didn't work for me.
Returned them and got the scotch extreme at double the price and finished up the face installs.

Pitty it didn't work for you Barry. The ONLY trouble I had was, as it is quite thin, I had a fair gap between one of thew drawer faces and the drawer front. I had to realign the drawer.
You got the solution and the end result you wanted though.

Why? Too thin and you had gaps, not sticky enough etc.

I use $2 shop 18mm wide double sided tape, super thin and sticks like the proverbial. If you want to hold something whilst you still and screw, then this is the stuff as you can leave in afterwards and you wouldn’t know it due to its thickness, or lack there of

That Bear tape is great, particularly for template routing and the like. It is designed for flooring and as such it is pressure sensitive. Which sound silly.. I know, as all tape is applied using pressure but this stuff sticks more the more pressure you apply (up to a point).

It works on the same principle as carpet tile adhesive.

As an aside, I was taught a method for doing drawer fronts that doesn't require tape OR clamps at all:

Use a couple of extra fat screws that actually screw into your clearance holes from the inside so that the tips poke out the front of the drawer by a mm or so, line up your drawer face with packing around the edges so it's where it should be, then bump the face with your hand/soft mallet to leave an indent where the screw tips are. Drill a short pilot hole in the dents and that's where your screws go.
