A concept in SketchUp
Saw this thread and well just had to fire up SketchUp. Did this concept in about 1/2 hour. Don't like 'natural' edges myself so I'd cut them off and use the natural grain and thickness of the slab to great advantage.
The join is supposed to be translucent acrylic or something similar. Send design fee to me thanks If only I had a shed again

While it looks nice it's too unstable, you really need to get both legs further under the table. For some reason, some people eventually end up sitting on or plonking large weights on tables, baby bassinet, box of books, large tray of drinks. Of course this will happen when a small child is crawling underneath.

I was expecting that comment and yes I must remember to take children into account. I think the stability would be easily fixed by increasing the length of that first leg underneath the table.
