Thread: Where do you buy your draw slides from?

I've bought lots of slides from Elraco( along with lots of other stuff)

I've had great service from them and their prices are hard to beat.
Courier delivery to Tassie in only a couple of days.

Cabinetmaker suppliers like Hafele in Malaga and there are one or two others in this area but I don't know their name/s.

Just search in ebay for drawer slides. You can get soft close ones as well and there are local and international sellers on there. I got 450mm slides a while back for $7 each pair and minimal shipping (some are free).

wow, cheers guys, those Ebay prices are insanely good.

The Big Green Shed is ripping me off - I think there's are about $20 for a 300mm or similar!

Bought 4 sets off the eBay seller listed above just before christmas.

Haven't arrived yet, but thats the price of cheap.... Choose any two: quality, time, price.

In future though, I'll buy those hafelle ones....I can guarantee the quality and there is only $2 difference a pair.

These guys have what you need and a lot more of what you might need Arry.
They are in QLD, NSW & Vic as well as on eBay seeing you are in WA.

Have a look at these, top quality and cheap as chips plus discount for small volumes as well.
I bought 30 of the 550mm before Xmas and they were under $6 each for the lot.
I went looking as I was sick of paying the big prices too.

No Mick, not at all. they have a store about two minutes away from me in Mt Louisa, Townsville so I was able to collect them.

Where do you buy your draw slides from?

I don't - I make timber runners and supports (with the support above limiting the tilt of the one beneath). Use really hard timber, wax them up thickly (don't wipe off), and you're done

They run beautifully, and you can take the drawer right out when you need too (seem to do that a lot). Quite a number of people (in the know - members here) have been surprised by how smooth and easy they run.

Cheap as chips.

When I did my trade with a local builder, we made all our own joinery, windows, cupboards, etc.
Draw runners were always hardwood with a strip of laminate on the bottom of the sides of the drawers, some candle wax on the runners and all good.

The boss was always complimented for the kitchens we turned out.

These days, I buy them from the local joinery works 2min from me and they are 1/3 the cost of the BGS, same for handles, hinges, etc. He buys 1000 pr at a time, huge savings from supplier
