Thread: Where to buy M16 T-Nuts?

i know that bunngings have some in the section with table legs and the like, not sure about 16mm. try hardware and general indsutrial dept.

I use T nuts for putting adjusters on the bottom of furniture legs, but I don't think they would do for castors or swivel wheels. Just a gut feeling that the forces involved would be excessive for that application. If I was going to do it myself, I think I would look at a trapped nut a couple of inches up and a plug to hide it.

Yup ive bought them from Bunnies before, but pretty sure they dont go that big. Will check tomorrow anyways. Ill give those guys a call as well. Thanks.

Well if the thread is tightened all the way in to the bottom of the leg then the force will be from the leg on to the base of the swivel, not the thread. The nut is purely just used to keep it from falling out when the table is lifted, not for height adjustment or anything like that.

McJings had a range of metric T nuts when I was last here. i'm not sure about size, though.

I don't think anybody makes T-nuts that large, Imperial or metric.

Stem casters would be more robust anyway.
