Where are you buying your sanding belts?
I have just acquired an edge sander, but few questions on the belts. (6'' x 89'' - 150mm x 2260mm)
1. Where are people purchasing their belts from ? (Adelaide would be nice as its local for me or online)
2. What are the common grits to use on such a machine and their application?
I've searched the forums, but didn't really come up with anything. Any help or point in the right direction would be greatly appreciated.

I got several from H&F as they are just a few ks away from my house. They have the size you want and grits from 40 up to 120 for $17.60 each
Sandpaperman has them for $33 for 36 grit to $20 for 240grit and as low as $15 if you buy 4 or more belts
Carbatech has grits up to 320 but @ $29 each!
2. What are the common grits to use on such a machine and their application?
40-60 Are useful for rapid stock removal of rough cut timber.
The most common thing I use those for are flattening and removing chainsaw marks from irregular pieces that can't go through a thicknesser.
These are also excellent to remove paint as I hate putting painted stuff through my thicknesser.
60-80 are good for removing saw marks from and shaping curved pieces
100-120 are good form final smoothing of most stuff.
Based on my experience with a hand held belt sander I though I might use a 240 grit but my machine uses 2010 mm and they are a bit harder to find.
I have bought one from Timbecon a while ago so I'm hoping they will have some in stock when they reopen.

Drifabout the Links you provided are not working
Try:http://www.abrasiveindustrial.com.au...ding-belt.html
and
http://www.thesandpaperman.com.au/15...-sander-belts/
BTW I refuse to buy from sites that don't show their prices without logging in.

Nope,
Your link to industrial abrasives comes up as
"http://www.thesandpaperman.com.au/150-x-2260-mm-sander-beltshttp://www.abrasiveindustrial.com.au/150-x-2260mm-alox-sanding-belt.html"
Whereas it should be http://www.abrasiveindustrial.com.au...ding-belt.html
Prices are not show automatically on the Indust Abras site, they may show up on your browser because you probably have logged into their system before but anyone who hasn't can't see the prices.

So can someone tell us the price of the Industrial Abrasive ones - 180 and 240 grit ?
Apologies for unnoticed autocomplete errors.

I wouldn't mind knowing either, if someone has a login.
