Default Cabinet for installing bosch gas cooktop

I am installing a bosch gas cooktop PCQ715B90A above bosch oven HBA13B250ASS.

The cooktop manual says "If an oven is positioned below the cooktop the barrier
does not need to be fitted, but a space of 35 mm must be maintained between the underside of the cooktop and the top of the oven."

Not sure I am reading it right tho. The diagram indicates 35mm horizontally, not vertically (page 9):

If I postion the cooktop in a 38mm benchtop, and the oven directly below, this will leave a vertical space of around 25 mm between the underside of the cooktop and the top of the oven.Does anyone have experience of installing these? Why is there a 35mm space needed?

I don't really want to have to mount the oven lower and install a 10mm trim strip at the top. Maybe I need to get the plumber to come and have a look before I order the cabinets?

    Any thoughts very welcome.

The 35mm horizontally shown is to allow fitting of connections.

The vertical gap is to allow an air space. 10mm if shield used, otherwise 35mm.

Thanks - yes that is kind of what I thought. Have checked with the cabinet supplier, their standard cabinet design provides some space above the oven, so should work out very well. Cheers.
