thats interesting mate...i do spread thing out as well as i can ..ie;monday is machine day , thicknesser , bandsaw tablesaw, lots of dust, DC on and a mask, this is for prep....then tuesday might be joint day , router work but i can do this outside, the next few days are handplaning, gluing up, have a rest while glue dries and then handplane for finishing, scraping a bit too, then it's to stain, shellac, varnish...

does this sound spread out ok,(not too repetitive) this might be all done over a 10 day+ period, then start again...

since i started handtools, only a day or 2 is needed for the machines compared to 4+ days before, and handtools are mainly just plane and scraper at this stage...i work from home so the neighbours are pleased about the noise reduction, the ranger never came back and my place is a lot healthier...

Most of my risk assessment involves electrical work and the physical environment. i.e. working safe around electrical circuits and "is the tech standing in the one spot all day on concrete, and are there trip hazards about".

Yours sounds like there is little repetition.... if you are a business, will worksafe or whatever it is in NSW come out and pay you a visit.
It might pay to check out if they can enforce anything on you, they can't in VIC if you are an owner/operator with no employees (that might have changed); but an inspection might be good if it does pick up something that is going to put you out of action. Other than that the NSW worksafe website will have material safety data sheets and codes of practice - worth a read.

Its good to hear that someone is working on tools and getting paid for craftsmanship.

    More power to you.
    Cheers,
    Clinton

if worksafe came out here with the bodgie power the landlords provide and the lack of safety everything, they'd have a dizzy fit, but this is really just my own stress relief working hobby, at least that's what the ranger thinks, and so i'm allowed to do as i please...i'd been mowing lawns for the last 10yrs and one day had a vision to get back to where i started , cabinet making , i never had a chance to do it properly and now i have given up the lawns and gone it full time...but still a hobby...so many people do what i do just from there shed, and the result is pieces of furniture that are individually crafted by the heart, soul and mind of an artisan and not manufactured...

    inspiring hey!
