Default Canberra Working With Wood Show

Congratulations to the organisers for sabotaging the Canberra Working With Wood Show right to the bare bone. Why not just stop the whole event if you aren't going to bother to advertise and waste the time of all those businesses and people who make the effort to go? Oh, right, yeah, because you get your money for selling the space even if businesses don't make a profit at all. It has been going so down hill for years and the only people responsible are the organisers as there are those who remember when the show wad so busy, you couldn't move!

I live in Canberra and did not know it was on.
I did not see any advertising on tv or the local rag or here.
    No road side signs.
It just did not exist ??????

    Hi,
EPIC did not even have it on it's calendar of events, hence my remarks with my photos in the other thread. No banner on the Forum and no special admission deal. I was surprised to find it.
    Regards
    Hugh

It was totally appalling. I feel for the trade suppliers who spent money and time coming for 3 days of nothing because the organisers want to kill the Canberra Show and rather than just do it, seemingly want to bleed it (and supporters) of every last penny. They still got their stall fees and whatever entry fee from those few who actually came in but I just hope they finally close it so it can be rebooted by those who actually care.

I only discovered it was on because I wen to the Sawp Meet on Sunday morning there and saw it all locked up. lots of people around well before the wood show gates were open.

It doesn't sound good/like there was much there - and it looked sparse just from outside the gates.
