Carba tec bench jointer on Mobile work bench
recently some questions were asked in the product review section about the carba tec bench jointer and I submitted my views. I was then asked to show some photos of the set up to extend the front of the 6 inch jointer to give it a bit more usability.
I thin k the adjustable set up in the front explains it all and i think having the jointer resting on the extended base is an important addition because it gives a lot of stability. The mobile bench is great because when I use it I lift the back handle and push it too the front of the shed which helps eliminate the sawdust from all over the floor.
The bench also has an underneath sliding tray with a thicknesser on it for easy lifting on to the table when i need it plus a good storage space for it when not in use.
Here are the photos from both sides.

You are a Star! No doubt about it.
Looks good. Thanks heaps for sharing.
The big question that we all want to know, of course, is, "Does it work?"
I have the same machine in Orange and branded Sherwood. I bought it secondhand but downloaded the instruction manual from Grizzly.

Thanks Pete, I found it.
Looks a good setup.
Could I please ask for 3 extra photos being one from each end plus close up of the fence mechanism, thank you.
Cheers, Crowie

Great idea to extend the out feed table bed for support; I would imagine it would improve the capability of the machine considerably. Well done Peter and thanks for sharing.
Reality is no background music.
Cheers John

To be truthful I have not used it much as I try to use the professional ones at the Wood club as much as possible. I suppose it has not been used for about eighteen months. I have had to replace the jointer blades because some screws came loose. No damage done but needed replacement blades. We used some locktite on the new screws so that wont happen again.
Strangely I had a need to do a small job today on some pine. It worked really good. If you have to do a lot of hard hardwood I think this is not the machine for that.
I also put a PVC pipe into the outlet elbow and 95% of the waste goes out of the shed.
Pete
